Next week you can earn a bunch of new card styles in the Unbroken Blade event! This event is Alchemy Singleton, but with a twist! You have a Study the Blade emblem which every time you attack with a creature you can pay 1 life to give it a +1/+1 counter or it gains +1/+1 This will allow decks to reach their curve faster and reward those builders who have a well-balanced curve!

Event details

A samurai may be just one person, but when attacking alone he is the most dangerous. Underestimate them at your peril. Or better yet, strike first with your own lone samurai and push your opponent on the back foot. Mastery of the blade may not be the only thing to decide the game, but it certainly won’t hurt.

• Duration: From March 18, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. PST to March 25, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. PST
• Format: Alchemy Singleton with Blade Emblem Study
• Admission fees: 2,000 Gold or 400 Gems
• Ends after: 4 wins or 2 losses, whichever comes first
• Match structure: Matches to the best of one (BO1)

Study the Blade Emblem

Whenever a creature you control attacks alone, you may pay 1 life. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature. Otherwise, it gets +1/+1 until end of turn.

Unbroken Blade Alchemy Singleton Decklists (March 2022)

You can see even more Alchemy Singleton decklists in our previous guide for the Neon Arcade event. The difference is the emblem that was used and new Alchemy: Kamigawa cards have been released since then.

Feel free to replace any cards you don’t have with something that performs a similar function; the beauty of Singleton is that you don’t need all the power cards for the game to play optimally!

Mono White is still a great option for almost any event because it’s fast, punishing, and can get you your wins fast.

While not utilizing the emblem to its full potential, Mono Blue can still interact with opposing creatures and temper them for victory!

While this event encourages creature decks, why not play a removal deck? Mono Black Midrange has plenty of blockers and interactions to stop aggressive decks in their tracks.

Like Mono White, Mono Red is one of the best aggro decks around, so playing it in an event here is even better, that’s for sure.

While Mono Green may not be as fast as Mono Red or Mono White, the card quality is higher so it can grind better against slow decks and have better bodies against fast decks!

The emblem was made for samurai so might as well play them! Samurai are twice as effective when they get their normal trigger in addition to the Studying the Blade trigger!

Gruul Werewolves is already one of the best decks in Alchemy, so why not play it here? A big curve, powerful threats, and strong synergies are always a smart choice for any event.

If you want more anti-meta options, it’s hard to go wrong with Orzhov! Lots of blocks, takedowns, and rages should give any deck of creatures a headache.

On the other side of the Orzhov spectrum, we also have an aggro deck! With great creatures and interaction, you can play short and long games with this version.

For the final list of the article, we have one more removal deck! Azorius offers many opportunities for removing creatures, all the wrath in the world, and drawing cards to help you find them!
