the Campus Sport Ireland is open to everyone. Sport Ireland campus based high performance programs include IRFU, Swim Ireland, FAI, Hockey Ireland, Badminton Ireland, Gymnastics Ireland.
International teams such as the All Blacks also use the facilities for their training camps. However, in addition to top athletes, the Sport Ireland campus caters to the needs of the local community with participation programs, and is also open to visitors from across the country for events or facility hire.
The Sport Ireland campus is ideal for team or individual training and has world-class indoor and outdoor facilities that host local, national and international events. Many of our current and future Olympians, including xx and xx (ambassadors to be confirmed) train at the Campus to prepare for competitions around the world.

The Sport Ireland campus also provides valuable amenities for the local community with facility hire, children’s camps, academies, parties, team building events and corporate conferences and exhibitions. Additionally, there are inclusive programs for athletes with disabilities and those recovering from chronic illness.
The Here We Go campaign was developed to champion these world-class facilities by engaging with the public and encouraging them to learn more and get involved.

The main facilities include:
Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena is home to a number of different sports including athletics, field sports (rugby, football, GAA), gymnastics, basketball, badminton, martial arts and more. This fully accessible, multi-sport and multi-purpose arena was built to the highest world-class standards. It ensures that Ireland has the best facilities for indoor sport and events, which can be used by sports bodies, top athletes, clubs and the general public.
The centerpiece of the building is a 200-meter indoor running track, used for athletics training, competitions, and a variety of other sports.
There are impressive indoor synthetic pitches, including a full size football pitch and used by all pitch sports and a half size rugby pitch.
Sport Ireland’s National Gymnastics Training Center is a bespoke facility containing all the necessary equipment for elite performers, academies, camps, schools and corporate team building events.
Sport Ireland’s National Aquatics Center attracts over a million visitors a year and hosts national and international events. This is where top athletes train as well as basic and adult learn to swim academies, scuba academies, school programs, member or family recreational swim sessions. The NAC is also home to the famous family-favorite AquaZone water park and a top-of-the-line gym, Sport Ireland Campus Fitness, which caters to all fitness levels.
The campus also houses the IRFU High Performance Center, the GAA National Games Development Center and the FAI National Training Center. The synthetic multi-sport pitches host national hockey team training and also provide all-weather pitches for the local football and Gaelic teams with 10 pitches in total and a clubhouse with meeting rooms.
Over 25 national governing bodies have offices located on the Sport Ireland campus at Irish Sport Headquarters and in individual offices. This facilitates collaboration and cooperation between the different sporting codes in Ireland.
The Olympic-standard National Horse Sport Arena is located in the former walled garden of Abbotstown House for equestrian training and events. The arena is designed for show jumping, dressage, driving, pony and eventing.
Sport Ireland’s National Cross Country Track hosted the 2021 European Cross Country Championships and is a permanent track for training and competition as well as a weekly parkrun.
The National Modern Pentathlon Center with a fencing arena and laser shooting facility complements campus facilities for running, swimming, and horseback riding, offering all five modern pentathlon sports in one location.
The National Diving Training Center allows Ireland’s best divers as well as the Diving Academy, gymnasts and participants of our children’s camps to practice and perfect their technique outside the pool using trampoline areas and high quality tumbling.
The list of facilities is endless. Other highlights include an on-campus conference centre, the Cricket Ireland High Performance Training Centre, a cyclocross skills area and walking trails. Apart from these facilities, over 500 acres of walking and running trails, forest trails, a 2.5 mk loop with fitness and outdoor sports equipment and open spaces can be enjoyed by all.
